Welcome to Gourmet Kosher Cooking for Passover! We have an all new look, an index loaded with Passover recipes, easy navigation and social sharing options (PLEASE share our recipes with your friends via facebook, or pinterest, or use the email icon to share something you like!), and better mobile access. Yes! You can see the site and pull up the recipes from your phone now too. The recipes and content are what you asked for, more main dishes, easy recipes, and lots of desserts and especially good ideas for Passover. You’ll find all that here and more. This year, the Passover site (just for Passover) is exclusively for members. For just $4.99, you have access to over 500 great recipes and more than 10 new Passover recipes coming to your inbox each week (now through Passover), plus wine suggestions, giveaways, menu ideas, and all our tips and cooking advice in the GKC blog. Join Us for an extraordinary Passover season and thank you for your support. We love hearing from our readers!
why are you all of a sudden charging 4.99 membership to get the recipes on your site when it has been free for so long. No other sites (joy of kosher, kosher scoop, culinary arts etc charge for people to go to their websites and get ideas tips and recipes. what is the reason you are starting to charge now. My friends are very upset and asked to send this email
Thanks for asking! GKC is charging for the Passover site only. Passover planning requires additional expenses in all areas, from groceries to cleaning, and including creating a website just for Passover, (testing, the technology, the writing of recipes, photography, and more). I love my readers and most do not know the hours and expense that are required to produce great recipes to share. Did you get a chance to see the mobile capability? Readers asked me for this great upgrade, so they can pull recipes up in the markets and see them in mobile format. Cookbooks cost over $25 and generally produce one or two recipes that people use over and over again. I hope that the hundreds of recipes available are worth a nominal $4.99. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.
Love your website!
I’ve been waiting for the new recipes. Cant wait to try them.
Very well done and a great idea! Yes, the norm is to not purchase online recipes but I view this as a very elaborate EBook…multi functional and lots of extras. A hard copy cookbook would be 5 times the cost. Good for you in creating this beautiful Passover website/cookbook and taking the extra step in charging for its use. Can’t wait to view and use the contents!
The website looks great and is very easy to navigate. I can only imagine how much work goes into creating recipes. I actually understand the fee and find it very reasonable given how much our family consistently enjoys your recipes.
Are the recipes available to members all year? Also, can they be saved to the Recipe Box? I have been scrolling through them and many of them are good year round. Wonderful, wonderful selection…terrific resource for us! Thanks.
Each and every business has a cost involved in its management. Other kosher @ non kosher web sites balance their management costs and profits with advertising and other vendor participation.
Kindly advise if you will be providing access to any free recipes during this “Passover period”.
Kol Tuv and hatzlacha in your new venture.
Thanks for the nice comments. The blogs will be open and the GKC regular index is free (and there are many passover recipes in there) but all the new Passover recipes and Passover index will be for subscribers. Thanks and hope to have you join us.
Yes it will be open all year and you can save your recipes to recipe box!
I can’t believe Leah is complaining about a measly 4.99 for being able to cook wonderful Passover meals! It’s a lot cheaper than what is spent on one latte and a muffin. The mobile access is amazing and a great advantage to schlepping around a big cookbook which only has a limited number of recipes. The fact that she can’t shell out 4.99 for something that she obviously has been benefiting from for so long is very sad.
Thanks for your support. I love all my readers and just want to be able to provide great recipes and content all year. There are some real costs associated with running a site so I hope readers understand and continue to join us.
